Surprise Non-Bookish Announcement!

I. AM. SO. DANG. EXCITED. Y’ALL. OH. MY. GOODNESS!

After being together for four years… Josh is no longer my boyfriend.

Nope, not anymore.

Because now…

…he’s my fiance!!!!!!!!

If you’re screaming, I’m right there with you!!! XD It’s been six days now and I haven’t stopped smiling. ❀

I am beyond excited to share this news with y’all! If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the announcement yesterday, but I wanted to share here as well for my buddies in the blogosphere. ❀

If you follow me on my personal Pinterest, you’re probably sick and tired of my wedding pins, but please bear with me. πŸ˜‚

Our anniversary was Friday, April 24th. We were both off from work that day, so we went furniture shopping for the house he bought a couple months ago. That was sweet enough in itself, and then when we got back to his parents’ house to cook supper, Josh proposed to me in the kitchen! ❀

As some of you know, Josh’s momma passed away unexpectedly last year. She loved to cook, and was amazing at it, so this made her feel as if she was there with us! ❀

Thank you all so much for following my author (and life) journey! Your support and friendship mean the world to me. πŸ™‚

As an author and blogger, my goal is to teach writers that there is a way to write realistic, thought-provoking, redemptive Christian fiction that honors God while not sugarcoating the realities of the world.Β

  2. Hooray!!!! Congratulations Allyson and Josh!!!! Wishing you a beautiful life together full of joy and love!!!!
Since you asked for advice πŸ˜‰ I’d recommend reading Gary Chapman’s “The 5 Love Languages” (and maybe you already have!), and as a writer you already know that communication is key. It really is key in marriage πŸ™‚ You’ll do great!
