Book Review: You Aren’t Worthless by Kristin N. Spencer

Good afternoon, Arrowheads! I recently came across a book on how to gain godly confidence, entitled You’re Not Worthless. This book serves as a great source of encouragement for me, so I’d like to share my review of the book with y’all today! 🙂

YouArentWorthless

This book is exactly what I needed to read at this point in my life. I’ve always struggled with confidence, but the author’s matter-of-fact, biblically supported lessons are full of wisdom, and opened my eyes to how God sees us.

The topics in this book range from insecurities to our unrealistic expectations to pride, and the author expertly covers them all by always revealing that God should be the source of our confidence, not our own works. This book is definitely one I’ll look back on and think about for a while. I ended up with 41 Kindle highlights for this book (though not all visible on Goodreads), so if that doesn’t prove it’s a must-read, I don’t know what does!

Overall, I highly recommend this non-fiction book to Christian teens and young adult women who struggle with confidence issues or anxiety.

As an author and blogger, my goal is to teach writers that there is a way to write realistic, thought-provoking, redemptive Christian fiction that honors God while not sugarcoating the realities of the world.
