Look out, Arrowheads. It’s looking like a new novel from yours truly will be hitting shelves later this year (Lord willing!) and I’m so excited to share it with you!
But, until then, a couple more Editing Diaries featuring On the Flip Side should be heading your way. For now, let me share with you how the roughest part of editing, the infamous Word Search Edit, has gone over the last few months.
Hey there, Arrowheads! It’s been a little over three months since I last updated y’all on the progress of editing my next release, On the Flip Side, but the manuscript has come a long way since then. Buckle up for a quick recap of all the novel has been through since December!
On February 22nd, my ninth year as an Indie author came to a close. Because life has been hectic, I haven’t been able to write this post until a week and a half after the anniversary passed. But now, as promised in my recent life update, today I’m finally getting around to filling you in on what I’ve learned and experienced during my ninth year as a published author.
Though I made some great progress towards finishing the book in November and thought I had a good chance of having a completed 9th novel by December 31st, I prioritized spending time with my family during the Christmas season and I have zero regrets.
So, where am I at with Follow the Arrows now? It’s not quite at The End, but it’s pretty close.
Though it’s been a little bit since I last updated y’all on the editing progress for my next intended release, On the Flip Side, the book is still well on its way to becoming a published work. Keep reading to learn how I’ve worked on the manuscript since the last update.
Since I published the final book in The Ballad of Emery Brooks trilogy back in December, you may be wondering if I’ll ever write another series. I’ve thought about this a lot, and this week, I’m letting you in on possible plans for the future!
I’m getting excited, y’all! Since my last update, I not only finished the first round of edits for my next intended release, On the Flip Side, but have also started the next round. More to come on that in a second!
On August 1st, I reached the 1 year mark into writing Follow the Arrows. Did I manage to meet my 15,000 word goal for June and did that trend continue over the past couple months, or did I fall off the writing wagon? Keep reading to find out.
The time has come for the first official round of implementing edits for my next intended release, On the Flip Side! While I do not yet have a publication date in mind, I enjoyed reading the first draft for the second time throughout June and July and am currently working through the editing notes I made during this read-through. Here’s where I’m at with the book so far!
