After a few weeks off from blogging, I’m back in action, Arrowheads.
Okay, or maybe just for this week (we’ll have to see…).
The thing is, after months and months of me coming on here saying Follow the Arrows is almost finished, IT FINALLY IS!!!! 😀
Praise the Lord!

The Ending Kind of Snuck Up On Me…
I don’t even know how long I’ve had this blog image sitting in my Drafts, but now, I’m finally able to use it!
That being said, even though I’ve been trying for over 7 months to finish writing this manuscript, the ending snuck up on me.
Let me explain.
I had the day off from work on Thursday, July 30th and had two and a half chapters left to write according to my outline. I had a couple appointments to go to in the afternoon, so I sat down to write that morning, thinking I would finish writing the last little bit of the chapter I was writing at the time and leave the rest to finish Friday night or Saturday.
I’m so glad God enabled me to do otherwise!
By His lead, I managed to write 2,028 words, finishing out that chapter as well as the one after it and the Epilogue before lunch!!!
Granted, the chapters in this manuscript are on the shorter side, and I feel like I underwrote a little, but being able to write The End that day hadn’t crossed my mind at all. After two days shy of two years since I started writing it on August 1, 2024, The Bowling Book is finally a completed first draft. To God be the glory!
Total Word Count for Follow the Arrows‘s First Draft: 82,969 words.
So, What’s Next on the Writing List?
I honestly have no idea.
Well, sort of.
I’m still working on my secret project, but I want to write something in tandem with it.
And the “something” that keeps crossing my mind is an idea I’ve only thought of recently, when I have a slew of other project ideas that have been stewing on the backburner longer.
Nevertheless, in this season of my life, I believe it’s the one God wants me to focus on for the time being.
More to come on that at a later date. First, I’m going to pray about it and possibly attempt to outline this thing. 🙂
Talk to Me, Arrowheads!
Thank you for your patience while I took a break from blogging. I believe this short break has rejuvenated my creativity and I’m looking forward to coming back to Authoring Arrowheads for On the Flip Side‘s pre-release content. Be on the lookout for those posts in the upcoming weeks!
Aim high, stay strong, and always hit your mark.
