WIP Update: The Fall (Update #2)

What’s up, Arrowheads! Thanks again for dropping back by to see how I’m doing on The Fall! It means so much! ❤

If you haven’t already, check out the first book in the series, The Crush, on Goodreads. Be sure to add it to your TBR!

And now, drumroll please… here’s what happened while writing The Fall in October!

Guys, October is my favorite month, and so far, this October has been my best recorded writing month to date. I was blown away when I wrote 12,961 words back in September after struggling in July and August, but I’m elated to say October produced an even better word count!

Totaling at 13,397 words for the month, and 40,326 words total, October FINALLY got me back on track of where I aimed to be at this point, around 40k. If all goes well this month, my goal of reaching 50k will be well exceeded by year end, which has me super pumped! 😀

Remember how in my last WIP Update I mentioned I hoped to reach Chapter 10 by the end of the year? I was actually able to start it in October and write a couple scenes. I’ve reached the point in the story where things are looking up for Emery, but the Dark Moment (according to Abbie Emmons’s “Turn Your Messy Story Idea Into an Outline” cheatsheet), is soon encroaching.

As far as plotting the remaining chapters… it’s been a struggle. I know what the end result will be, but I’m torn on how to make the story even juicier before I get there. Y’all please pray for me to be able to figure it out! ❤

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, and if you’re interested in checking out my other works, my published books are available to read on Amazon!. Be sure to go check them out!

Aim high, stay strong, and always hit your mark.

As an author and blogger, my goal is to teach writers that there is a way to write realistic, thought-provoking, redemptive Christian fiction that honors God while not sugarcoating the realities of the world.
