Dear Readers,

As some of you know, I beta tested cutting out my current schedule of Friday Book Reviews in the latter part of 2019, and ended up bringing them back as of January 2020. After much consideration, and receiving advice from an indie-publishing mentor, I have decided to cut out Friday Book Reviews on Authoring Arrowheads indefinitely.

I have made this decision due to the following reasons:

• My current blog schedule is overwhelming at times, especially during editing phases.
• As an author, I don’t like giving negative feedback to other authors via public reviews.
• I would like to give first priority to writing and editing my books rather than blog posts.
• I would like to spend more time developing my other social media outlets.

If you are an author friend of mine who has requested book reviews in the past, do not fret! I am still willing to help other authors promote their books. If you would like me to write a blurb for your book’s Amazon page or back cover copy, I will gladly read for review and do so.

As for keeping track of my thoughts on the books I read, I will no longer be using Goodreads for reviews, unless it’s for books I absolutely love. Instead, I have a notebook which will allow me to keep my thoughts on books to myself, whether they be positive or negative.

I will, however, continue to promote books I love via non-review type posts, so stay tuned for those! 🧡
