No Blog Post This Week :(

Good afternoon Arrowheads,

I didn’t intend for this to happen, but there will be no blog post this week because I wasn’t able to get this week’s intended post written in time to go up this evening. In fact, I never even got started on it. I’m sorry. 😦

For full transparency, I’ve barely been able to keep up with blog posts lately, often writing them they day before or the morning they’re supposed to go live, and then praying I caught everything in a quick proofread. For several weeks, I’ve been able to handle it, but the long, busy weekend threw me off and I completely forgot about today’s post.

So this week, if you don’t mind, please just pray for me. I’ve been extremely anxious the past three weeks concerning one area of my life, and while I’ve managed to be able to write some on my work-in-progress, I haven’t felt up to writing blog posts or posting to my author social media accounts. Though the thing I’m anxious about has nothing to do with authorship, it’s put me in a sour mood whenever I need to be working on posts. I’ve also been struggling with envy and comparison issues again when seeing posts from the author community, so again, please pray for me in these areas. God has worked a lot of that out of me in the past few years, but I still go through episodes where I struggle with it, and I’m not proud of it. :/

I appreciate your continued readership and support. I love y’all, and I hope each of you had a Happy Independence Day. ❤

Hopefully I’ll be back next week with a proper blog post. If I’m still not feeling up to it, I’ll announce a hiatus for the month of July. We’ll see how it goes.

As an author and blogger, my goal is to teach writers that there is a way to write realistic, thought-provoking, redemptive Christian fiction that honors God while not sugarcoating the realities of the world.

  1. I think you just wrote a fine post! The best I find is all that comes of you just being yourself, self-expression. The comparison is not you. Forget about what you think your blog should be and all that interests you, share it. I have been blogging for years and it’s only been recently that my blog and other platforms are gaining traction. Even my flower painting is better! The one difference is I now just do it. We’ll see where I go!

    1. Thank you so much, Mireya! That’s very sweet of you to say. I think I get too caught up on having “professional” looking posts a lot of the time, when in reality I do like to goof around more than having everything polished. XD Thank you for your encouragement, and that’s awesome about your platform growing! 🙂
