In case you didn’t know, I’ve been a major Kindle girlie for the past six years. Back in 2018, when I was still living at home with my parents and my bookshelf couldn’t hold any more books, my husband gave me a Kindle for my birthday and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. ❤
I’ve seen a few BookTubers do videos like this where they go through their Kindle stats, so I thought it’d be fun to try the same thing here on my blog. So… just how obsessed am I with my Kindle? Let’s find out!

How Many Total Books Are on My Kindle?
Let me preface this by saying that y’all need to keep in mind I’ve read 70+ books per year, every year, since this Kindle came into my possession, so if anything after this makes me seem like a hoarder, you were warned. XD
At the time of writing this post, a couple days before it goes live, my Kindle houses a total of 526 eBooks.
Remember, you were warned. 😛
How Many Books Have I Read on My Kindle?
According to my Goodreads shelf, if everything is accurately logged, I’ve read 380 eBooks. While many of these were paid for, back when I first became an indie author, I did a lot of book reviews on my blog for other indie authors, so quite a few from 2018-2019 were free ARC or review copies. I stopped reviewing books a few years ago, so now I either buy eBooks whenever I catch them on sale, or take advantage of free days.
I’d also like to add that every year since giving me the Kindle, my husband has given me gift cards about once a year as either a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas present, which I use to buy eBooks throughout the year. I also take advantage of the Kindle Rewards program and any digital rewards that Amazon sometimes gives out for choosing later shipping days when ordering from the website.
How Many Unread Books Are on My Kindle?
This is where it gets pure embarrassing. XD
At the time of writing this post, there are 146 unread books on my Kindle. But, I plan to get to all of them. Eventually. The thing is, the most I’ve ever read in a year’s time is 110 books… so this stockpile is more than a year’s worth of books.
But, it’s cool. I keep reminding myself I’ll read them all. Eventually. And in the meantime, I’ll keep adding more to the stockpile, because I still have gift cards to spend. 😛
What Are My Current Reading Streaks?
Within the Reading Insights information section, it shows my current Weekly Streak Record is 113 weeks. My Daily Streak record is currently 43 days, which was accomplished in February-March this year.
How Many Days Have I Read Per Month on My Kindle This Year?
According to the Days Read Per Month stat within Reading Insights, here are how many days I’ve read on my Kindle each month:
January: 29 days
February: 23 days
March: 28 days
April: 15 days
May: 27 days
June (so far): 9 days
I was still reading during the months with fewer days. I was just reading physical books instead. 🙂
Do I Try to Complete the Kindle Challenge Achievements Within Reading Insights?
Honestly, no. I forget about them half the time. A few times a year I’ll get curious and check to see if I’ve won any badges, but it’s not something I strive to do.
Do I Participate in Prime Reading?
Despite having a Prime membership for years, I had never tried Prime Reading until a couple months ago. The book I borrowed turned out to be one of my favorites of the year so far, and I plan to read the Harry Potter series this way later, but it’s not a Prime benefit I use much because, again, I already have 146 unread eBooks on my Kindle and don’t necessarily need to borrow more.
If you’re a reader on a budget, who happens to have a Prime membership, I highly recommend using this feature, since it’s an added benefit. I’m planning on utilizing it more in the future, once I can make a bigger dent in my current owned Kindle TBR. 🙂
Talk to Me, Arrowheads!
Do you prefer eBooks, physical books, or audio books? If you’re an eBook reader like me, what kind of e-reader do you have?
Aim high, stay strong, and always hit your mark.
-Allyson 😀
I usually prefer physical books, but when traveling (especially by air) my Kindle Fire is super handy (and is a great chance to catch up on eBooks that I collected during sale days!).
