As an author and blogger, my goal is to teach writers that there is a way to write realistic, thought-provoking, redemptive Christian fiction that honors God while not sugarcoating the realities of the world.
Last year was the first year I set reading goals for myself. I’m excited to share that I was able to meet all of the goals I set, except for one, which I’ll mention later on. I enjoyed the different reading challenges my goals for last year presented and have set several similar reading goals […]
Christian authors, something we need to stop and ask ourselves from time to time is, is our writing a true, biblical labor of love? And if we find it isn’t, how can we rectify that?
Hey there Arrowheads, Like I’ve done in years past, I will be taking a (planned) break from blogging until 2025 rolls in. For the remainder of December, I’m finally allowing myself to relax after the most insane book release I’ve had to date. During this time, I plan to revisit the town I made on […]
I’ve been beyond excited to share My Most Anticipated Reads of 2025 with y’all after compiling, and then narrowing down, my list for weeks. With a limit of 24 books and the hope of reading two off this list per month next year, here are the books I’m most excited to read in 2025.

Right after publishing The Crush in 2020, I contemplated giving up on being an indie author entirely. One of the only things that kept me going was the fact that I’d made a commitment to finish writing and publishing the second and third books of The Ballad of Emery Brooks trilogy, and I was going to stay true to my word and release them. Now that The Fall and The Dream are (almost) both out in the world, it’s time to say goodbye to a group of characters that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
It wasn’t until I started rereading all of the books in The Ballad of Emery Brooks trilogy in preparation for The Dream’s release that I realized just how many Bible events relate to Emery’s journey. Here are some of the stories that came to mind during my rereads!
