Though it’s been a little bit since I last updated y’all on the editing progress for my next intended release, On the Flip Side, the book is still well on its way to becoming a published work. Keep reading to learn how I’ve worked on the manuscript since the last update.
Good afternoon, Arrowheads! This week, I’m excited to share that I’m once again participating in the annual Black Friday through Cyber Monday eBook sale hosted by fellow author Perry Kirkpatrick. This sale features hundreds of clean and Christian eBooks that are either available for free or $0.99.
The time has come for the first official round of implementing edits for my next intended release, On the Flip Side! While I do not yet have a publication date in mind, I enjoyed reading the first draft for the second time throughout June and July and am currently working through the editing notes I made during this read-through. Here’s where I’m at with the book so far!
Summer is one of my favorite times of the year to read seasonal books. Over the past few years, I’ve tailored my monthly TBRs to include quite a few reads that made me feel as if I were sunning on the beach, sailing the ocean blue, or reminded me of my summers growing up. In hopes of starting a new tradition on Authoring Arrowheads, here are my summer book recs for 2025, compiled from my recent reads all the way back to 2020!
Many readers do not like reading about grief in fiction, but in this season of my life after recently losing a loved one, books that portray grief realistically have become some of my favorites of the year. Because I’ve found that young adult books often portray grief in more raw and real ways than adult fiction, this week I’m sharing my picks for YA reads centered around death, loss, and navigating life after tragedy.
Follow the Arrows has finally been removed from the back-burner! Check out this update to see how I’ve eased my way back into writing throughout January.
There have been days throughout the past four years when I honestly never thought this season would come. Right after publishing The Crush in 2020, I contemplated giving up on being an indie author entirely. One of the only things that kept me going was the fact that I’d made a commitment to finish writing and publishing the second and third books of The Ballad of Emery Brooks trilogy, and I was going to stay true to my word and release them. Now that The Fall and The Dream are (almost) both out in the world, it’s time to say goodbye to a group of characters that will forever hold a special place in my heart.
After spending two months creating an outline for my newest WIP, I actually started writing the thing in August! So, how are things going with Follow the Arrows so far?
