Good afternoon Arrowheads,
My original plan for today’s post was to share some pictures and fun highlights from my wedding back in October, but though I received the pictures back on Monday, I didn’t have time to draft out the post in time for today. That post will be coming in January, though! So, instead, I’ll just announce my Christmas hiatus a week earlier than planned. ❤
2021 has been an emotional roller coaster of life changes to say the least, and though now that the wedding is over and I’m thriving in married life, and have dipped my toes back into the world of writing, editing, and authorship, this extra week off is a way of showing myself grace. Whether you’re a follower of this blog for the content on reading, self-publishing, writing, or just the other random things I post, I pray all of you can show yourself some grace during this Christmas season as well, and keep Christ at the forefront of your mind, because He is the reason for the season.
During my blog hiatus, I still plan to be active on Instagram, so give me a follow there @authorallysonkennedy if you haven’t already! Be prepared for more Reels from me on Fridays. I’m slowly but surely learning how to do those and have enjoyed the ones I’ve made so far, like this one:
I will also be doing read-through edits for Writing by Faith: Following God’s Calling to be a Christian Author during this time off, and implementing some edits for The Fall (The Ballad of Emery Brooks, #2). This may seem like I’m not giving myself grace, but I actually really enjoy editing, so this is fun for me. 😛

Like I mentioned before, the past few years haven’t been easy for me, but I have received nothing but kindness, support, and prayers from y’all. And, to be transparent, those prayers have been extremely effective. I’m closer to God now than I have been in several years, and your prayers are to thank. Y’all are amazing, and I pray each of you have an amazing Christmas and Happy New Year. I can’t wait to revisit y’all on the first Wednesday in 2022!
