Dear Arrowheads,
Normally I try to let y’all know in advance when I won’t be posting, and I’m sorry that I ghosted the blog last week with no explanation. As you know, if you’ve been following Authoring Arrowheads lately, I’ve been dealing with a lot in my personal life. Things have gotten exponentially harder to deal with in one area over the past month. Because of dealing with this issue, I’ve been exhausted and anxious during my free time, which has affected my creativity. Though I was able to finish up the most recent round of edits for On the Flip Side, I haven’t written much this month. I hate that I have fallen behind concerning blogging when one of my main goals for this year was to get back to having posts pre-scheduled, but until this chapter closes, posts here may be sporadic.
The good news is that after much prayer and consideration, I’ve stepped out in faith and obedience to God and made an Emery Brooks decision. If you’ve read book 3 in The Ballad of Emery Brooks trilogy, you may have an idea of what I’m talking about. Anyway, the point is, this chapter should close soon. The only thing is that now I’m not sure what comes next. I’m leaning on God to show me the next steps to take, and I’m thankful for His peace that overshadowed me when I moved forward with the decision.
If you will, please keep me in your prayers over the next few weeks. I may be back here, or I may not. But please know I want to be back here on a regular basis. I have unfinished drafts for two posts that I’m excited to share with you but just haven’t had the mental clarity to finish writing them. One of them is “My Ninth Year as a Published Author”, and it will probably be the next post to be published here if I can get to it soon.
Love you, Arrowheads. And if there’s any way I can pray for you, please let me know.
Aim high, stay strong, and always hit your mark.
-Allyson

Believe me I hear you, Allyson! Camping and fishing trips. Skin issues. The unexpected whatever that gets in the way of my working on my latest novel, The Prodigal Band Aftermath (another spin-off of my Prodigal Band Trilogy)….and yes, finally, God is guiding me to continue to work on it. I just finished Chapter Three (which took an “Epstein Files” turn if you know what I mean! Genetic manipulation….not just pedophilia, etc., is what he funded). Started Chapter Four yesterday, and posted to my omegabooksnet site as well yesterday morning. But keep it up and God be with you! Blessings!
