On February 22nd, my ninth year as an Indie author came to a close. Because life has been hectic, I haven’t been able to write this post until a week and a half after the anniversary passed. Between our families, work, church, and social lives (if we dare have one), the world has us running here, there, and everywhere, and if you’re like I was a couple years ago, it’s got you running ragged.
Last year, with my word of the year being stillness, I chose to take a step back from busyness and focus more on God. This became my favorite part of 2025, and this week, I’ll be sharing the ways I’ve managed to stay connected to God in spite of the busy world we live in.

While I’m intimidated about focusing on obedience this year based on what the Lord has allowed me to walk through over the past few years, I’m choosing to trust Him in whatever He is asking me to do and approach this year with an open mind and surrendered heart.
